Abstract

PURPOSE & BACKGROUND There is an increasing need for analyzing the effectiveness of information system in human resources management in the banking industry due to the competitive environment under which the banks operate. In the current globalization era, effective application of human resource management information system in the banks is necessary. Therefore, this paper focuses on review of the most relevant literature on the effectiveness of information systems in human resources management in Jordanian banking sector. METHODOLOGY The paper is based on the review of secondary data. It analyses available literature in the field of human resource management in Jordan, usage of information system in management and the governance in Jordanian banks.
