Abstract

This paper attempts to scrutinize in what ways a religiosity might be integrated into a lifestyle from Islamic perspective. The discussion includes three main sections; firstly, to discuss the concept of religiosity from a conventional understanding; secondly, a discussion of religiosity from multiple Islamic-based researchers; and thirdly, how it can be integrated into lifestyle theoretical constructs from Islamic perspectives. In accomplishing the above three discussions, content analysis and library research are used from the available literatures on religiosity. The discussion illustrates five components of religiosity which are derived from the grassroots of Islamic worldview (tasawur) and epistemology. They are divinistic, dogmatic, holistic integration, transitory, and instrumentalistic, which initially outlined as the dimensions of the religiosity in an Islamic-based development. The conclusion provides several related points for further analysis in order to unravel the complexity of religiosity in lifestyle.
