Fruit-flies (Diptera: Tephritrdae) are great economic and agricultural important peals due to damages caused lo commercial such as mango (Mangifera indica L.). In order to determine the infestation of fruit flies on mango and their associated parasitoids, a survey was carried out in several mango orchards in Peninsular Malaysia. Ripened fruit samples were collected weekly from April to Jun* 2014 (mango Meting season) in Kedah. Penang. Selangor alto Melaka Tne fruits obtained were transported to the insectary which they were then counted and weighed The fruits were placed in plastic containers and after 2 weeks tee recovered fly puparta wore transferred to small plastic cups for flies and parasitoids emergence A total of 52? mango fruits (138.2kg) were collected with 4439 Nits pupae wore recovered and the fruit files emerged were identified as Bactroofiva papayas (Drew and Hancock) Tho highest infestation rates per host were recorded in Penang (43.68 pupae/Kg I followed by Selangor (38.21 pupae/Kg) and Melaka (19.66 pupae/Kg) whilst Kedah showed the lowest infestation rate (9.94 pupae/Kg). Two braconids species (Subfamily;Opiinaer); Fopius vandenboschi Fullaway and PsyttaVa incisi Silvestri were recorded with average parasitism was at 0.81%. The highest parasitism was recorded n Melaka (1.42%) whilst the lowest parasitism was recorded in Selangor (1.00%). However, there were no parasitism recorded in both Kedah and Penang. The outcome of this results will contribute to initiate more applied studies on mango fruit flies and its parasitoid for future true flies biological control programs.
