Abstract
Pahang is the 3rd largest state in Malaysia, where most of its area is covered with rainforest and plantations1 . One of the causes for motorvehicle-accident (MVA) in Malaysia, especially in Pahang was accident collision with animals1,2 . However there are not many studies in this area. Some of the injuries required surgical intervention using implants which are expensive, depending on nature of the injuries. However criteria for free-implant in Malaysia are eligible only for certain age group; patients above 60 years old and student below 17 years old4 . This could be an economic burden for the healthcare system as well as the victims. This study is looking at the impact of animal related MVA on the socio-economy of people in West Pahang.
