Abstract
The paper attempts to investigate the role of professional learning communities’ concept towards TVET Malaysia higher education Malaysia. Using qualitative face to face interview, five respondents were selected from several polytechnics in Malaysia. The structured question was based on the five characteristics of Professional Learning Communities questionnaire (SPALSc) dimensions. The study concludes that the existence of the professional learning communities’ activities particularly on professional development aspect should be valued and institutionalised in TVET institutions. This collaborative scenario could be widely engaged and enhanced as part of the organizations culture. In order to enhance TVET agenda, the professional learning communities practice needs to be cultured in an organisation.
