Abstract

The study aimed to investigate the effect of the use of blended learning on students’ achievement in Islamic education and their motivation to learn in UAE. The sample consisted of (32) 11th grade students, who were divided into two groups: A experiment group that studied the course using blended learning, and a control group that studied the same course using traditional way. In order to achieve the study goals, a pre-post test in Islamic education and motivation measurement was applied. The results showed a significant difference in the performance of students on the achievement test in Islamic education, and the motivation measurement due to the teaching method in favor of learning blending. The results also showed a significant difference between the degrees of students with high achievement on the test compared with the degrees of students with moderate and low achievement, and for those with high educational attainment. According to these findings, the study recommended activating the blended learning strategies in teaching of Islamic education, especially in the future shifting towards the digital curricula.
