Abstract

Increasing in the number of drug-abuser population in Care & Cure Rehabilitation Centre (CCRC) resulted in many of unproductive human resources which affect the social and economic performance of the country. Previous studies have shown that Quality of Life (QoL) among CCRC clients is poor as compared to other general population. Thus, it is essential to examine the driving factors that can motivate them to improve their QoL. This study proposes a conceptual model to measure QoL based on Maqasid Shariah approach which consists of five elements such as religion, life, mind, lineage, and property. The proposed model provides insights to address driving factors that can motivate them to improve their QoL namely CCRC environment, CCRC program, and self-efficacy. The effort supports the nation’s aspiration for a healthy, happy and competent nation.
