Abstract
One hundred and thirty four railway accidents were studied over the period of 5 years between 2013 to 2017 from the autopsy do the mortuary of VIMS, Bellary, Karnataka, India. Out of the 134 cases of railway accidents 92 cases were male and 42 were fem The majority of cases were in the 25 to 45 years age group. The manner of death was mostly suicidal of which 81 were males an were females. Decapitation was the most common injury seen.
