Abstract

This article discusses the devating of Qada ’ and Qadar as discussed in the kitab Jawi. The kitab Jawi "al-Durr al-Thamin”, written by Shaykh Daud at-Fatani and “ Aqidah al-Najin fi 'ilm Usul al-Din ” written by Shaykh Zayn al- ’Abidin al-Fatani, are used as the main source of reference for this article. The objective of this article is to know the perception of writers of kitab Jawi regarding the devating of Qada ’ and Qadar. This article also identifies the similarities of ideas between the writers of kitab Jawi regarding the devating of Qada ’ and Qadar with the thinking of the al-Asya'irah.
