Abstract

The use of current technology in the delivery of Islamic information should be highlighted, in line with the government's desire to develop the 21st-century learning implementation. In this regard, the scholarly information about al-Aqsa Mosque and Islamic Jerusalem (Baitul Maqdis) using current technology is very little. Therefore, a mobile smart phone app that provides easy and fast reference to al-Aqsa Mosque and Islamic Jerussalem (Baitul Maqdis) has been developed based on the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) Model. This app is called Faham Fiqh al-Aqsa. This article aims to introduce to the masses about a mobile learning medium developed as a simple and straightforward reference to the al-Aqsa Mosque and Islamic Jerussalem (Baitul Maqdis). The al-Aqsa Mosque and Islamic Jerussalem (Baitul Maqdis) were chosen as the subject of this study because of its important position in Islam and have its own sentimental value to Muslims. The Faham Fiqh al-Aqsa 's interface display contains the key topics that every Muslim needs to know about the Masjid al-Aqsa and Baitul Maqdis, available in 3 languages; Malay, Arabic and English. The content of the apps consists of written information about al-Aqsa Mosque and Islamic Jerussalem (Baitul Maqdis), pictures, and videos of expert discussion, with Malay subtitle to ease the users to understand the content of the videos. Additionally, it also features video with sign language translation for hearing impaired. FAQ also provides jigsaw puzzle games to foster the love of Al Aqsa Mosque and Islamic Jerussalem (Baitul Maqdis) among children. This app can be downloaded from Google Play and Gallery of Malaysian Government Mobile Application (GAMMA). Based on user-friendly features and feedback from users in the play store show that FAQs can be a reference medium and mobile learning that is informative and suitable for 21st-century learning.
