Abstract
Pregnancy by its own predisposes a mother to various complication throughout the 40weeks ordeal. Our case report highlights a rare but serious complication of pregnancy - herniation of a gravid uterus. This is a rare occurence that is challenging in its management of both the mother and fetus1,2. To our best knowledge this serves as the first reported case of a herniation of a gravid uterus through a previous incision scar in Malaysia. We hope this case report would serve as an eye opener both to us as surgeons and our obstetrics colleagues regarding the prompt management and close observation.
