Abstract

The student's grading system at the university does not showed an overall student achievement especially in improving the student's soft skills. Regardless to the disadvantages in conventional grading system,iCGPA is the best way forward in assessing and grading holistic and balanced learner performance especially in their soft skills. Threfore,we aim to correlate the cumulative scores of students between conventional methods with iCGPA grading system that is being developed. Total of 141 students from the Bachelor of Biomedical Science and Bachelor of Islamic Finance,Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) were selected for this study. Data entry was performed and all results were analyzed using UniSZA-SISMAK system and UniSZA iCGPA system.By comparison there were differences in calculation of the cumulative grade point average between the conventional UniSZA-SISMAK and the new iCGPA.These differences were due to number of data entry and the use of weightage for each PLO in the new iCGPA grading system.Holistically,an accurate and precise measurement of student's cumulative grades is important in determining student attainment in each MQF domains.
