Abstract
One stop centre (OSC) has been established in Malaysia to assist citizens in getting comprehensive services with little efforts. It is a solution in achieving citizen or customer oriented government. In achieving the status as a global education hub in year 2020, the Ministry of Education had established a corporate entity; Education Malaysia Global Services Sdn Bhd (EMGS) as an OSC to process international student’s recruitment. This paper discusses the role and function of EMGS as an OSC to ensure fast and effective services for international students who applied to study in Malaysia. This paper also highlights issues which were encountered by parties dealing with EMGS as an OSC and provides some recommendations for improvement. This paper applies data from the primary and secondary sources. Field work in the form of interview are also conducted with government officials, education institutions and students who had experiences in using EMGS services.
